Does this story sound familiar? You feel inspired to do that thing that would seriously uplevel your life. You want to meditate for 20 minutes a day, or start running again, or whatever it may be. You feel full of energy – totally motivated and ready to go. You prep yourself for it. Maybe invest in that meditation app, or buy a cute new gym outfit, or just take our your perfectly good gym wear from deep in your chest of drawers.
For the first week you’re LOVING it! The benefits are amazing. It’s exactly what you were hoping for. You feel pumped! Excited! You’re SO glad you’ve done this!
And then… You stay up too late one night. You say, “Oh, I’ll just miss it for one day.” And then you miss it the next day, and the next. Then it’s been a week and you’re right back where you’ve started.
Nodding your head?
The thing is this scenario is all too common. Did you know that 80% of people abandon their New Year’s Resolutions by the 19th of January?!! And the reason for this is because they’re not CLEAR on how to formulate this new habit.
I created a little infograph on some easy ways to help you build habits that last.
Which number sounds like it would be the most helpful for you?
